# Fresh Produce Markets

> Independent fresh-produce price-discovery platform for South Africa. Daily prices from Joburg, Tshwane, Durban and Cape Town markets, side by side. Built for hawkers, restaurants and produce traders.

Fresh Produce Markets (freshproducemarket.co.za) is a free, public service that scrapes the daily price sheets from the four biggest municipal fresh-produce markets in South Africa, normalises the prices to a common unit (R/kg, R/ton, R per 10 kg bag), and shows them side by side for easy comparison. Data is updated every weekday after 13:00 SAST (after the Joburg 12-1pm update window).
